"Vertigo Adds 7-Barrel Brew System" at BrewPublic

Angelo was kind enough to stop by Hillsboro to witness the installation of our new 7-barrel brew system, designed by Ager Tank Equipment of Portland. Hit up the read link for pictures of the new system being installed.

We can't wait to start producing your Vertigo favorites in larger quantities. The demand far exceeded the capacity of our old 1-barrel system. Yet, by keeping the 1-barrel system running, we'll be able to continue to produce creative one-off brews — allowing us to stay nimble and focused on the dream of producing high-quality beers for every season. We have no plans to rest on our laurels anytime soon.

"[Th]e new system will allow brewers Mike Kinion and Mike Haines the opportunity to more readily produce their house beers as well as the ability to dabble in more creative one-off specialty brews."

"Sensation of Vertigo" on BrewPublic.com

Angelo, from BrewPublic.com, stopped by Vertigo Brewing to check out the operation and sample Vertigo's excellent beers. Among his compliments: "While it might seem crazy to open yet another brewery in the seemingly over-saturated Portland metro market, these two fellows are respectfully following their hearts. I sincerely hope they continue to do what they are doing and that you support them by drinking their beer." Thanks, Angelo! Read the full article.

"I loved the [Cyclone Cream Ale]. A light crisp cream ale as God intended with the perfect balance of quaffability and flavor. I am definitely returning to Vertigo for a keg of this one."

Vertigo Reviewed on "It's Pub Night" Blog

A blog dedicated to good beer in Portland. Bill had a chance to sample three of Vertigo's offerings — Friar Mike's IPA, High-Altitude Amber, and the (then untitled) Cyclone Cream Ale — and offer his thoughts." Read the full review.

"The IPA is well-balanced: hoppy and dense, but not an extreme-hop freakout. The amber was also very well done, malty but with a nice bitter finish."
